Job description

Duties: Under the direction of the Business Administrator of VPUL Facilities, provides administrative and financial assistance requiring considerable judgment and initiative to the area of VPUL Facilities which includes Classroom and Facilities Support and VPUL Office Facilities, Penn Student Agencies and Perelman Quadrangle and VPUL Performing Arts Facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: accounts payable, payroll and purchasing functions. Serves as backup for the Perelman Quadrangle receptionist answering telephones and greeting visitors as needed.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience working in a University setting preferred. Knowledge of general accounting principle required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Strong written and oral communication, and good grammatical and spelling skills essential. Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation and ability to work independently and communicate effectively. Must have demonstrated ability to handle diverse activities, and follow through to completion. Experience with MarkView and BenFinancials a plus. Ability to work well under conditions of stress and with a diverse student and administrative customer base is necessary.
