Posting Summary:
The Virginia-North Carolina Alliance Program Coordinator supports the National Science Foundation's Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Virginia-North Carolina Alliance (VA-NC Alliance) grant activities. The VA-NC Alliance partner schools include the University of Virginia as the lead institution, Bennett College, Elizabeth City State University, George Mason University, Johnson C. Smith University, Old Dominion University, Piedmont Virginia Community College, Saint Augustine's University, Thomas Nelson Community College, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia Tech, and the National Radio Astronomy Observatory. The Program Coordinator will perform a variety of duties to include analysis of alliance data, preparation of required NSF reports, scheduling partner conference calls, preparation of agenda items, recording minutes, coordination of the summer research program, coordination of the annual alliance symposium and other conferences/special events, and preparation of public relations materials and newsletters.

Demonstrate excellent leadership skills. Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing. Ability to be tactful and discreet when troubleshooting and/or resolving problems.
