The University of Virginia, Office of the University Registrar (UREG), is seeking a detail and team oriented individual to fill the position of Fiscal Administrator. Successful candidates will display the abilities to work independently as well as in a team function. The Fiscal Administrator is primarily responsible for the maintenance of daily, weekly, and monthly fiscal and administrative duties which are paramount to the continued success of UREG. Working closely with the Business & Human Resources Administrator, the Fiscal Administrator will manage all regular financial activities within the department to include processing of purchase orders, payment vouchers, travel workbooks, business meal reimbursements, and supply orders. The Fiscal Administrator will also be responsible for the timely processing of all monies coming into UREG, as well as the reporting of all applicable taxes generated by these monies. Preparation of monthly reconciliations, for review by the Business & Human Resources Administrator will also be required.
In addition to fiscal duties, the Fiscal Administrator, under Supervisor direction, will be required to assist, as needed, throughout other areas of UREG to ensure operational efficiency is maintained. Duties may include, but are not limited to, coverage of the In-Person service area, processing of transcript requests, imaging, coverage of the phone system, and coverage of the UREG e-mail account.

Numeric and analytic capability. Strong oral and written communication skills.
