Position Summary: College of Business, Governors State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Coordinator of Academic Services. The mission of the Governors State University College of Business is to provide an accessible, high quality education to a diverse student body primarily from the Chicago area, while actively engaging in research and service to the community. The College of Business is currently implementing its Vision 2020 strategic plan, focused on academic excellence; student success; high quality faculty and staff; enrollment management; financial growth and resiliency; visibility, outreach, and economic catalyst; social, ethical, and environmental responsibility; and continuous improvement. The College of Business is organized in two divisions, including the Division of Accounting, Finance, MIS, & Economics and the Division of Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. The College of Business has a number of highly rated and accredited undergraduate and graduate programs in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, management, marketing, management information systems, operations and supply chain management, entrepreneurship, human resource management, manufacturing management, business and applied science, an online MBA, and supply chain MBA. Given GSUa€™s location, supply chain management is a program of special significance to employers in our region. All the COB programs are accredited by AACSB. The College has an approximately 800 enrolled students in Fall 2016. The Coordinator of Academic Services at the College of Business provides planning, operational, logistical support to the work of the College of Business, especially related to assessment, accreditation and reporting, curriculum management, student/alumni relations, and special projects assigned by the Dean of the College. The following are main responsibilities: a€¢ Coordinate/facilitate ongoing effort associated with annual and other reporting requirements and other activities related to unit and program accreditation for AACSB. a€¢ Collaborate with the Dean, Division Chairs, and program coordinators in coordinating accreditation processes and team visits. a€¢ Collaborate with the University Director of Institutional Research to develop appropriate data collection and mining strategies, information analysis and creation of reports to support all academic initiatives of the COB, with particular emphasis on learning assessment a€¢ Draft necessary periodic reports for accreditation activities a€¢ Conduct analysis and write reports using Ellucian Colleague, Business Objects Webi, Microsoft Excel, Sedona, and other software and systems. a€¢ Provide planning/logistical/operational assistance and support to COB committees and working groups such as the Strategic Management Committee, Assurance of Learning Committee, the Curriculum Committee, the Faculty/Student Development Committee, etc. a€¢ Participation in the management of program and unit level assessment systems and collaboration with faculty and staff to ensure data entry, data collection and data analysis for continuous program improvement. a€¢ Support COB curriculum review and revision activities a€¢ Coordinate course scheduling within the COB in consultation with Division Chairs and the Dean a€¢ Manage internal communications for degree programs and courses. a€¢ Develop and maintain COB alumni database and manage alumni relations at the college level

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in business, higher education, and related fields; 3-5 years of prior coordinator or administrative work experience in higher education, preferably in a College of Business

Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with AACSB standards, policies, practices, and procedures; Proficiency in data organizing, analysis, and presentation using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel and Access; Proficiency using enterprise systems software and reporting tools such as Ellucian Colleague, Microsoft SharePoint, Business Objects Webi, and Sedona; Ability to apply digital technology to impact unit operational effectiveness and efficiency
