Advertised Job Summary
Knowledge of full range of automotive procedures, diagnostic and general repair for heavy and light duty vehicles. Ability to perform preventive maintenance of vehicles routinely as directed by Trades Manager for Transportation.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
3 years Automotive Services experience, working knowledge of tools and equipment in shop. Ability to perform heavy manual labor.Preferred Qualifications
Excellence (ASE) certifications EPA-Approved Chlorofluro Carbon (CFC), Freon Recovery CertificationKnowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to perform automotive services including preventive maintenance, repairs and maintaining shop.
Ability to listen and conduct inspections based on information provided by operator; repairing engine failures, performing mechanical and electrical systems; replacing parts and components as needed.
Verify vehicle serviceability; adjusting control and systems. Records service repairs and service in log.
