Occupational Summary:

The Program Coordinator of the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program(RSLP) plans,coordinates, and executes activities associated with Scholar events,selection, academic programs, and summer enrichment within the RSLP essentially serving asa key resource for allfunctions within the organization.

Work Performed:

The Program Coordinator is a key position within the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program and serves as a vital resource for all functional areas of the Program.This position serves as a generalist and will be a resource for all aspects of the Program.This position will have set responsibilities that include helpingmanage Program events while alsomaintaining the offices at both Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill. In addition,the work will be comprised of many special projects vital for the operations and function of the Program, such as selection process analyses, event planning, Finalist Weekend coordination, dataorganization andprocessing, and more. The candidate must be able to multi-task andprioritize when many projectsare ongoing. Initiative and an ability to work with ambiguity is necessary given the workload at certain times of the year. A self-starter attitude is very important.This is an opportunity to be in a job with manydifferent tasks and the opportunity to learn many newskills and disciplines.

Professional Skills:
• Competencies and experience in event management, from design to execution to evaluation.
• Ability to manage timetables and track Program deliverables.
• Computing competencies that extend beyond MS Office suite; ability to quickly learn and implement survey tools, social media, and communication platforms.
• Experience in compiling and analyzing survey data,as well as with creating reports and executive summaries.
• Familiarity with basic financial payment, processing, and reconciliation procedures.

Produce highest quality work product in any project undertaken.
Complete all projects on time andon budget.
Be a "Go-To" person for the entire RSLP team.
Education:Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree program.
Experience:Position requires the ability to work on many different projects at a given time. Work also requires flexibility and the ability to prioritize as new assignments are added to the workload. Previous experience in highly flexible organizations, such as a start-up organization, is a plus. Event planning and management experience is also a plus.
