At Stony Brook Medicine, a Lead Programmer Analyst is a valuable member of our team, who provides technical guidance and professional administrative support to program managers, department heads or administrative officers, faculty, support staff and to the University.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior communication and organizational skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.
Duties of a Lead Programmer Analyst may include the following but are not limited to:
- Will develop and support all revenue cycle systems that the department is responsible for.
- May be assigned to a project team as a technical build resource, or assigned to support any production systems to ensure the availability of the applications.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field will ensure that the incumbent has the conceptual skills required for this demanding role. At least 3 years experience with healthcare related revenue cycle, preferably in academic medical center.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in mobile apps development. Experience in HL7 Interface. Experience in a hospital or healthcare IT environment. Experience with hospital information systems (e.g. Cerner, Siemens, Clairvia, 3M). Experience with Hospital Patient Access, Patient Accounting and/or HIM systems. Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices. Additional technical, leadership or Project Management experience. Experience in a hospital IT or Revenue Cycle Department
Experience with hospital information systems Cerner, Siemens Invision, Clairvia, 3M, SMART
Experience or knowledge of AccessHIM/or HIM systems and coding practices
Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
Additional technical, leadership or Project Management experience.
