Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences is seeking applications for two tenure track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor depending on qualifications and experience. This incoming faculty members will be expected to make significant contributions to the continued development of the PhD program in outcome sciences and growth of a diverse research portfolio in the department. The faculty members will also be expected to teach in both the professional PharmD and the pharmacy graduate programs.

Required Education and Experience

Applicants for this position should have expertise in pharmacy practice, medication use and health ouitcomes research. The ideal candidate for this position will be expected to:
• Hold a doctoral-level research degree (e.g., PhD, ScD, DrPH) and a professional degree in pharmacy (BS or PharmD);
• Maintain an active health outcomes research program (e.g. pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, health policy or health services research) relevant to pharmacy practice;
• Pursue competitive, extramural research funding;
• Have evidence of peer-reviewed publications in high quality journals;
• Have excellent analytical skills and experience with large databases;
• Have undergraduate and graduate teaching expertise in a health professions program.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants for this position should have expertise in pharmacy practice, medication use and health outcomes research.
