We are currently seeking a Senior Advisor who will advance the institution's proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.
The Opportunity

Your mission: Advise prospective, new and returning students of educational opportunities and requirements. Provide guidance with educational planning from prospective student through graduation.

A typical day: You might be developing strategies to help first-time in college students succeed, training advisors, providing transfer planning or assisting with site visits. While there will be a wide range of activities, one thing will remain constant: every day, you'll be making a difference in students' lives.

  • EDUCATION
    Master's degree required. Prefer Master's degree in counseling, guidance, college student personnel, higher education administration, education, social work, sociology, psychology, human services.

    EXPERIENCE
    Require three (3) years work experience in post-secondary institution advising setting.

    Experience with PeopleSoft a plus.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    Well organized, task-oriented and flexible

    Must possess good interpersonal skills to perform successfully in a large multicultural environment

    Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Computer proficiency in word processing (MS Word), spreadsheets (MS Excel), and Internet technologies. Proficient in the general use of personal computers.

    Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends
