Program Manager: Diversity Nursing Scholars Program
The Program Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of the Diversity Nursing Scholars Program in the College of Nursing. Increase the number of diverse nursing students in the CON from the New Bedford area in order to create an ongoing pipeline of diverse nurses likely to be employed locally. Ensures the program goals of the DNS program and HRSA grant are met. Create local partnerships to recruit and retain nursing students from disadvantaged populations, enhance and integrate faculty cultural competencies in innovative teaching, learning and research activities in our baccalaureate and graduate programs and to initiate a “school to career” summer employment program for area teens interested in nursing/health careers.
