The College of New Jersey has an immediate full-time permanent position available for an experienced Grounds Worker. Reporting to the Head Grounds Worker, this position performs a variety of tasks involved in the maintenance of the grounds, including, but not limited to mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, edging, and snow removal.
- Minimum of one year of grounds/landscape maintenance experience and snow removal in a large scale setting
- Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing issued by the state of New Jersey
- Must possess a NJ Certified Pesticide Applicator’s license (or must have the ability to obtain the license within two (2) years of the date of hire).
Experience in an institutional setting, preferably higher education, as well as experience in the operation of specialized equipment, including backhoes, skid steers, and tractors.
