Job description

Duties: Serve as pre-award administrator primary point of contact for ORS for designated departments and investigators. Work with investigators and sponsors to resolve contracting issues, review proposals for compliance with university sponsor guidelines, submit electronically where required. Review, revise and negotiate terms and conditions for grant/contracts to ensure compliance with law and university policy. Review awards and establish accounts, interpret and communicate university,federal and sponsor polices and regulations. Develop and implement research related training programs for Research Services staff members and departmental business administrators

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Demonstrated knowledge of sponsored programs administration and of federal acquisition regulations and expertise in contract negotiations in an academic setting a plus. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks, demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills. High productivity, customer service orientation and teamwork. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft products; knowledge of PennERA a plus.
