ASSOC DIRECTOR C
Duties: Manage all Student Affairs functions for BSN students including the design, development, implementation and evaluation of New Student Orientation and Family Weekend and related activities. Manage Academic Affairs functions for BSN Students including developing plans of complex plans of study, tracking the retention of BSN students, and participating in walk-in advising hours. Analyze undergraduate issues and determine appropriate follow-up. Manage cases for BSN students in crisis, contacting key university resources as needed. Manage the study abroad programs for BSN students. Manage the financial resources for several School of Nursing budgets. Hire, train, evaluate, and provide supervision to 5-6 work study students and 1 Graduate Assistant. Represent the School of Nursing at key school and university meetings regarding BSN students.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree and at least 3 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Master's degree (in Higher Education, counseling, student personnel) and experience in a university setting are preferred.
Experience in student counseling or academic advising highly desirable. Proven ability to plan, implement, and manage programs and activities. Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects and work in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations. Must work well with students, faculty, parents, and other constituencies. Proficiency in desktop computing necessary (including word processing, spreadsheet and database management, and desktop publishing).
