In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year, the Health Sciences Department invites a pool of qualified persons interested in student teacher supervising positions. Applications are accepted continuously for part-time, non-tenure-track positions and reviewed as vacancies become available. There may not be an actual vacancy at the time you apply.
This position is to mentor teacher candidates in their student teaching internship. The supervisor is a liaison between ISU and the school district personnel, primarily the cooperating teacher. The supervisor is responsible for observing the student teacher on-site and providing a formal assessment of the teacher candidate's teaching episodes. In addition, the supervisor will assess reflection assignments written by the student teacher. The supervisor is responsible for providing the grade for the student teacher of the student teaching class.
This position is represented by the Non-Tenure Track Faculty Association and may have associated dues or fees.
1. Master's degree in a related field
2. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
3. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
