The University of North Texas Libraries are seeking to hire a Administrative Coordinator II to join our Facilities & Systems Department. This position will work as a flexible member of the Libraries' Technology and Computer Operations Management team with a concentration on management of the 24hr Student Computer Lab. The employee will directly manage a team of student employees to ensure proper day-to-day operations of the 24 Hour Student Computer Lab in Willis. This position will work closely with other members of the technology management team as well as other lab managers across campus to ensure all services, printing, applications, and e-Campus resources are available to students in Willis Library 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during regular semesters, and all other times that Willis is open during intersessions. The employee will provide first tier technical assistance and ensure access in support of distributed learning and the UNT System from Willis Library.Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Management of a team of employees to operate a service desk in Willis Library 24 hours a day during long semesters, and any other time the Willis Library is open.* Training of the team of employees to understand and properly execute established standard operating procedures.* Ensure that established standard operating procedures are efficient and adequate, and update those procedures as necessary in an ongoing fashion.* Be able to perform first tier troubleshooting of Windows and Apple workstations, and properly escalate issues to the 2nd tier support groups when necessary.* Properly support physical printers and print release stations as necessary. The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree and four years of office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
