The University of North Texas Library is seeking to hire a Digitization Assistant to join our Special Collections team. The Collections Digitization Assistant will assist Special Collections librarians and the Metadata Coordinator in the development, production and completion of digital projects. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Assist in the preparation of requests for funding by conducting counting and inventory projects* Assist in pre-project planning activities such as selection and inventorying of collections* Assist in processing born digital collections* Facilitate projects in production by overseeing the transfer of collections from storage to scanning areas. * Significant responsibilities for metadata creation in one or more ongoing digital projectsThe University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
