The Philosophy & Religion Studies Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Coordinator I to join our team. Sole staff person in the Sub-Antarctic Biocultural Conservation Program Office. The preferred candidate will be working with the Director of SBCP under the auspices of the Philosophy & Religion department. Faculty associated with the Program are often in Chile, so this person is the on-campus contact person. Spanish is a requirement.Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Process forms.* Respond to phones, mail, and email.* Maintain Calendars; purchasing; budgeting.* Tracking expenses and financial records for all program accounts.* Travel arrangements.* Updating website content.* Inventory.* Taking minutes in meetings.* Media communications and disseminating information.* Facilitate and assist with preparing grants and fundraising applications.* Contact with students interested in participating in program activities and addressing student inquiries.* Keeping records of royalties, donations, and gifts to the program.* Maintaining files.* Organize special events.SBCP is housed in the Department of Philosophy and Religion. Affiliated faculty are associated with the departments in which they have rank, so there are no faculty activities such as hiring, evaluation, merit, promotion and tenure. The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree and three years of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
