The Athletic Department at Lewis University seeks qualified individuals to fill the Assistant Coach of Track/Vaults position.  The Assistant Coach, in concert with the Head Track Coach, will provide coaching for track athletes with a focus on, but not limited to the area of pole vaulting.  Work would require evenings and weekends depending on practice and competition schedule. Coverage of practices and meets required.

Lewis University, sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, is a vigorous and growing institution located 25 miles SW of Chicago. We sponsor 18 intercollegiate varsity sports and compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (men's volleyball).  At Lewis University, Students, faculty and staff from all walks of life come together to challenge and support each other.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-season and out of season practice planning and instruction
  • Home meet management
  • Team travel arrangements
  • Academic progress verification

As an individual employed in a coaching capacity, you are subject to the regulations of the NCAA. If at any time it is determined that you are in violation of such regulations, then by the provision of the NCAA enforcement procedures, you may be subject to corrective disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Playing experience and the ability to communicate effectively within the educational philosophy of Lewis University required.
