Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director
The Boards of Directors of Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) and Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation (KHESLC) are seeking a dynamic leader to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director. KHEAA/KHESLC are sister organizations created by state statute, whose joint mission is to enable Kentuckians to achieve their education goals beyond high school.
The CEO/Executive Director will serve as one of the Commonwealth’s leading policy advocates for financial access to and successful completion of postsecondary education, representing the interests of prospective and enrolled Kentucky students and their families. This position presents an exciting opportunity for an innovative thinker who is committed to help Kentuckians in their attainment of education or training beyond high school.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively with legislative and executive branch leaders at both the state and federal level. In addition, they will have broad knowledge of the services and programs provided by state postsecondary education financial aid organizations. Further, they will possess familiarity with public financing related to student loan capital.
This position will be responsible for managing and directing a group of state-affiliated entities including KHEAA, KHESLC, the Asset Resolution Corporation, and two 529 college-savings plans.
Successful applicants should have at least 10 years of management experience in a relevant field. A Bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree is preferred. This position offers competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
