Job Description: The Instructional Tech Consultant/Technical Support position is responsible for technology support in the OFE. He/she is asked to: -serve as the OFE webmaster, working to increase accessibility; -be responsible for the day to day operation of the OFE programs in the conference room or other sites, setting up equipment, scheduling Mediasite recordings, recording or arranging for recording of programs, editing as needed, tagging, and making available recordings in the search engine. Sometimes this entails arranging for recording in two sites simultaneously. Loads recordings to the server/search engine and enters search information; -participate in the faculty mentoring program on technology topics that arise -arrange or provide programs on best practices in conjunction with Teaching with Technology Summer Academy, Introduction to College Teaching, and other programs requested -assist presenters and other faculty/OFE staff in use of instructional technology -inventory and monitor use of OFE equipment especially technology including but not limited to cameras, laptops, iPads, mediasite recorders, projectors, mondopad, etc.; -maintain or supervise student updating of laptops, iPads, and other technology, including work with ITCS on upgrades, issues; -develop and maintain OFE databases and search functions and manage the "requests for service" and other forms for use by the OFE and its clients; -troubleshoot problems OFE staff and clients (faculty, staff, and graduate students) experience in use of OFE recorded programs, technologies, and the OFE registration site; -record and edit class sessions and interviews with outstanding faculty for use in development of modules and other faculty support programs -photograph and edit photographs for use in various OFE documents, etc. -supervise/troubleshoot lighting, microphones (sound quality) in the conference room and other venues -recommend technology purchases to enhance OFE work -serve on the OFE Advisory Council and work with summer programs and new faculty orientations. -Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in educational technology, technology systems, or related area. Experience providing technical support in educational settings. Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
