The Administrative Coordinator provides office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies; monitoring administrative projects to support the co-curricular development of students. This position is a highly collaborative position that works with a variety of constituents including students, faculty, staff, vendors and external community leaders. This position reports to the Director of Student Involvement and Student Center as an integral member of the team.

  • Assist with the coordination all SISC departmental events. This includes securing the event location, scheduling presenters, coordinating the production of event marketing materials and programs, maintaining the RSVP list, and making all catering arrangements. At the event, supervise the event staff and greet all guest in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Supervision, training and development of Student Assistants in the SISC Department.
  • Provides Administrative Support to the Director of SISC; Performs office administrative duties: prepares purchase requisitions; coordinates travel for SISC staff; coordinates and monitors maintenance services; serves as liaison between departments, faculty and staff; assists with hiring and employment processing.
  • Prepares and monitors budget: prepares independently or directly assists in the preparation of department budget;
  • Monitors 100+ Registered Student Organization (RSO) expenditures and budgets; makes budget allocations; develops and maintains bookkeeping system; prepares financial and administrative reports via Collegiate Link
  • Maintains efficient management of the office to include front desk operations, repairs, ordering of supplies, customer service, and office cleanliness.

COMPENSATION: Hourly rate commensurate with education and experience with excellent benefits.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • One (1) - three (3) years' related experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of technological proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a college environment.
  • Proficiency in USG BOR and state purchasing guidelines and processes.
  • Previous experience working with Collegiatelink, R25, or similar software programs.
  • Ability to interact with students, faculty and other staff members to accomplish office goals; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • General knowledge of office management techniques.
  • Ability to respond to various audiences accurately and calmly and make decisions under pressure and without immediate supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, and peripheral office equipment.
  • Accuracy and attention to details.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Ability to organize workflow and direct multiple tasks.
  • Ability to update skills on a continual basis.

Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus.
