ADMISSIONS MANAGER, School of Social Work, Administration (4840/G1817)
The Manager of Admissions serves as the client lead for application software vendors for prospects and applicants (Liaison) and as the primary manager of the relationships between the Admissions Office and other departments including SSW's Online MSW Program (OLP), BU Information Technology, and BU Institutional Research. This position plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates the collection of data related to admissions in support of recruitment and conversion efforts and prepares a variety of statistical reports on an ongoing basis for the analysis of recruitment efforts and applicant demographics. This position creates and maintains content for the School's electronic applications; troubleshoots related questions from applicants (in conjunction with the Admissions Officer, as needed); organizes and prepares the application review and admissions decisions notification; follows up with selected applicants with the Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator and the Admissions Officer; and processes International applicants in coordination with the International Students and Scholars Office. In addition, the Manager of Admissions participates in selected student recruitment activities, including participating in the OLP Virtual Admissions Information Sessions and meeting with prospective students and overseeing one direct report, the Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator.
Bachelors degree required. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent analytical and customer service skills. 3-5 years of related experience. Nonprofit/social work program experience preferred, social work/social justice experience helpful.
