The Administrative Specialist II will process and maintain prospective student data in the recruitment database. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Preparing and loading prospective student data into the recruitment system from spreadsheets.* Maintaining names, addresses, & other prospect data in the prospect database.* Manual data entry of prospect information from paper sources.* Management of duplicate records.* Answering emails from prospective students.* Processing hard copy print correspondence and returned mail.* Assisting the manager and team in streamlining business processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.* Providing backup support for student phone calls during busy periods.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and two years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communication with public, verbally and in writing.* Skill in evaluating facts or situation to route calls/customers appropriately.* Basic MS Office skills.* Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones and copiers.* Skill in filing and recordkeeping.* Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.* Skill in basic math.* Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.
