Job Description

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Nationally recognized consumer-products company seeks team member in customer-focused position. Technician will maintain equipment in retail customer locations. Mechanical experience is preferred.

Job Brief - The selected candidate will be responsible for all areas of field services repair. You will typically leave from home each day and travel from site to site maintaining and repairing equipment, making sure the overall needs of each customer are met and representing yourself in a professional and experienced manner. The selected candidate will consistently achieve or surpass monthly metrics assigned by management, while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities -
Perform routine service, maintenance, and repair of company equipment on a regular service cycle within assigned region.
Maintain safe operation of company vehicle in compliance with all state and federal DOT laws.
Complete scheduled service orders daily.
Keep records of work assignments.
Complete basic installation, maintenance, and removal of company equipment
Identify malfunctions and resolve issues accordingly to the best of customer's satisfaction.

Qualifications -
Excellent mechanical aptitude
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Basic understanding of plumbing (water flow, pipes, valves) and electrical knowledge very helpful
Ability to learn new technology, along with repair and service procedures
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Be organized, accountable, and self-motivated
Excellent customer service skills
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds

Helpful Experience -
Servicing customers (i.e. resolving customer issues, ensuring appropriate communication with store managers, following up on customer requests)
Working with electrical systems (i.e. understanding flow, wiring, outlets)
Working with plumbing (i.e. working with drains, water supply, shut-off valves)
Equipment installation (i.e. HVAC, refrigeration, auto, copiers, fountain products)
