Veterinary Hospitals Anesthesiology Technician I/II (CARE)Job Description:
The AAHA accredited Anesthesia & Pain Management service is responsible for administrating anesthetics, and monitoring patients before and after procedures for most medical and surgical procedures of the Small and Large Animal Hospitals. While this is the major role for most of the faculty and staff in this service, we are currently seeking assistants so the technicians and clinicians can continue to provide excellent patient-focused care.
The Anesthesiology/Pain Department with the Veterinary Hospitals is recruiting for a Veterinary Hospitals Anesthesiology Technician.
- This position is responsible for administrating anesthetics to veterinary patients, including but not limited to domestics, exotics and large animals.
- The position also will instruct veterinary students, fellow technicians, and other personnel in veterinary fields in the administration of anesthetics and the use of anesthesia equipment.
- This position is expected to communicate and assist its direct supervisor.
- This position requires a post-offer health assessment.
$14.00 to 17.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.Minimum Requirements:
Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of veterinary experience or graduate of a veterinary technology program.
Technician II: Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician and two years of experience working as a veterinary technician providing surgical and/or anesthesia support.Preferred Qualifications:
Successful completion of basic Skills Mastery List. Basic computing skills in word processing and spreadsheets.Special Instructions to Applicants:
