Duties: This position is responsible for developing state-of-the-art algorithms, tools, and apps for the Social Media Lab (SML) at the Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation. Specifically, programming will range across a subset of text-mining, machine learning, natural language processing, distributed computing, website development, mobile app development, and data visualizations. The SML utilizes Internet data, on the order of billions of data points, to create unobtrusive ways to assess the well-being of large populations. This position will work under the direction of the project leaders with the SML and Leonard Davis Institute (LDI).
Qualifications: The minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
