Job Description: The Multimedia & Technology Services (MTS) Department of Information Technology and Computing Services (ITCS) Academic Technologies seeks a highly motivated, energetic individual to work as a Technology Support Analyst. This position is responsible for managing OnSSI, an enterprise clinical/proctoring recording solution. This position serves as the primary system administrator of the administration server and multiple recording servers. Primary support includes but is not limited to server system reliability; system updates/upgrades, user account management; and daily monitoring of camera and recording server connectivity. It provides the primary support and the technical expertise to manage audio/video recordings used for HIPAA, PHI, and clinical and academic proctoring. It also provides consultation and design recommendations for new OnSSI installations and initiatives. The individual in this position provides a high level of customer service as the primary support and the technical expertise for all clinical and proctoring network cameras, audio equipment, and camera view stations. This position participates in the clinical/proctoring recording system planning, system design, equipment evaluation, and equipment integration. This position also serves as the primary system administrator for the support and maintenance of REDCap, the system used for building and managing online surveys and databases of highly sensitive data to support research studies. The person in this position will consult with clients and vendors on patient and student observation recording needs and prepare equipment specifications and the budget for new projects. This position also provides basic and advanced training and documentation to faculty and staff for OnSSI and REDCap. Collaborates with other ITCS teams, staff, faculty, clients, and vendors to make sure the OnSSI and REDCap systems maintain ITCS security, HIPAA/FERPA security standards, and overall system performance. This position will serve as a technical resource in video management system problem solving and design. This includes determining needs and researching new technology. This position may require non-business hour support including evening and weekends, depending on the needs of the university.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Journey level requires an additional one year of experience. Advanced level requires an additional two years of experience.

Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is open to permanent ECU employees only. This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Advanced level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations. Salary Grade Equivalent: 74 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
