Job Description: The Department of Biology at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, the third largest campus in the University of North Carolina System, invites applications for a teaching assistant professor position in Biology beginning August 14, 2017. The fixed-term temporary faculty position at .90 FTE is for the 2017 fall semester with the possibility of subsequent appointments. The individual will be expected to teach majors and non-majors biology courses, primarily at the introductory level, including a section of BIOL 1050 and three sections of BIOL 1100.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biology or a Biology-related field, such as Microbiology or Molecular Biology, is required. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Candidates with a Master's Degree may be considered for appointment as Teaching Instructor. Experience is required in lecture and laboratory teaching at the University level.
