Job Summary/Basic Function

The faculty member teaches a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer information systems. Additional responsibilities include student academic advising; engaging in university, department and community committees and other kinds of service; and conducting research and scholarship activities.



Minimum Education/Experience/Skills

Earned doctorate in Information Systems or related areas. Must possess the minimum credential standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) which include at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the subject area or suitable approved justifications. Successful candidates must demonstrate potential for effective teaching and exhibit a strong record of scholarly activity in high quality peer-reviewed scholarly journals and conferences.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills

Demonstrate excellence in teaching and published research in the areas of Cyber Security, Information Assurance, Computer Networking, and/or Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Big Data, and Data mining. Particular attention will be placed on candidates with more than two years of industry experience in these areas and also candidates with industry-recognized technical certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CEPT, etc.
