Administrative Services Assistant
This position is the initial point of contact for the Stuckert Career Center on many occasions, either in person, website contacts or by phone in a high-volume setting. Exceptional service orientation, excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, and the ability to conduct independent decision-making are required. The ability to communicate effectively and work with a diverse group of internal and external clients including students, employers, faculty, alumni and other constituents is also critical. Must also possess a high level of social perceptiveness and diplomacy. The individual in this position is expected to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires the ability to balance and prioritize fast-paced multi-tasking challenges, i.e., those related to department/facility management, including hiring, mentoring and evaluating student assistants, colleague consultations, problem solving/trouble shooting, and related responsibilities.
This position will report to the University Director for Academic and Career Advising and collaborate with the Stuckert Career Center Director to integrate academic and career advising to support student success. They will play an integral role in shaping processes and procedures for service at the Stuckert Career Center

Required Related Experience
Required License/ Registration/Certification
Sitting for long periods of time, occasional lifting of objects up to 20 lbs. and repetitive motion tasks.
Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
• Proficiency with SAP, the University Event Management System, Handshake, Tagger, Website Content Management, Student Appointment System Management, and Microsoft Office 365 applications and programs
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
• Prefer a Bachelor's degree
• Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience working with undergraduate college students and an in depth understanding of student services
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Experience providing service to employers and community partners
