The Weatherspoon Art Museum (WAM) seeks to fill a part-time, two-year position to coordinate a collaborative effort between WAM and Revolution Mill at Gallery 1205 on the Mill campus. The person will work in concert with WAM's Curator of Exhibitions and other staff, as well as staff at RevMill. Among the duties are coordinating all aspects of artists' visits and schedules; assisting with project budgets, correspondence and promotional materials; training and overseeing gallery attendants; scheduling receptions and programs.



Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.



Preferred Qualifications

BA in art or arts administration; experience working with artists; ability to manage budgets, schedules, and student assistants; flexible schedule; self-motivation and self-direction; ability to work under pressure; good communication skills; ability to work both unsupervised and cooperatively with a range of people.



Alternate Option

If no applicants apply who meet the required competency level and training & experience requirements, then management may consider other applicants. Salary would be determined based on competencies, equity, budget, and market considerations.
