Job Description:

The AAHA accredited Anesthesia & Pain Management service is responsible for administrating anesthetics, and monitoring patients before and after procedures for most medical and surgical procedures of the Small and Large Animal Hospitals. While this is the major role for most of the faculty and staff in this service, we are currently seeking assistants so the technicians and clinicians can continue to provide excellent patient-focused care.

Primary duties of the assistant will include maintaining the cleanliness of the anesthesia areas and equipment along with maintaining the inventory and stock. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • sweeping
  • mopping
  • dusting
  • organizing
  • basic clean-up
  • restocking anesthesia machines
  • cleaning and preparing items for sterilization
  • submitting and receiving orders
  • alerting personnel of special orders

Additionally, potential responsibilities include animal handling for procedures and induction and moving patients to other areas of the hospital.

Shifts are 2PM – 6PM.

This is a great entry-level opportunity for those interested in the veterinary field, specifically in anesthesia.

Advertised Salary:

Pay rate is $10.00 per hour.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.
