Columbus State University has an opening for a Technology Procurement Consultant. This position will be responsible for overseeing IT vendor relationships, asset procurement and detailed IT financial oversight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: collaborating with internal teams in support of purchasing hardware, software, or services; monitoring and managing the supplier’s service delivery, relationship, contract, and financial management requirements; provide technical support for faculty and staff on the use of technology; submit, track, and receive goods and/or services through purchase requisitions and purchase orders in the PeopleSoft (eProcurement) financial system; assist to implement strategic sourcing and vendor relationship strategies for all IT-related purchases, to include hardware for data center and office build outs, hardware for new technology solutions, support, and usage licenses, etc.; ensure vendor partners are effectively managed, post-contract, to the agreed upon SLA’s, project timelines, and escalation of problems from a contract point of view; assist in establishing SLA and metrics scorecard including quality measurements; manage relationships with vendor; maintain vendor escalation lists, calendar of renewals, upgrades, etc.; schedule support meetings and combined vendor performance review meetings (monthly, quarterly, annual); manage all technology quotes and purchase orders submissions and approvals; working knowledge of legal terminology/contract law with the ability to draft basic contracts, negotiate standard form contracts, and manage the approval process; conduct financial review of contract change orders and conduct consumption analysis; manage invoice approvals and ensure billing accuracy; assist the annual budgeting process across the various IT teams; assist with asset tracking and management; maintain files for a large variety of complex procurement contracts, documents, regulations and correspondence; prepare contract documents ensuring conformance with regulations and procedures; prepare recurring and special reports; perform contract administration support functions; independently perform general clerical duties in support of the office operations; and all other related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and one to two years’ applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the required skills in in technology procurement/vendor management. The successful candidate must possess experience in project management, meeting, planning, and facilitation, preferably in an information technology discipline; a demonstrated ability to manage conflict and issue resolution; possess excellent organizational skills; possess a working knowledge of personal computer and peripherals; a demonstrated knowledge of Google applications, Wearable’s, and Mobile devices; a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision and work independently;  possess a high level of problem solving ability as well as the ability to work closely with faculty and staff; possess extensive experience with computer systems and business software programs including a working knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10, and MAC OS; knowledge of PC remote and PC imaging processes; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment; and possess excellent customer service skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills. Scheduling and time maintenance skills are essential for this position.
