Administrative Assistant I, Vandenberg Campus

Job Description Summary:
Provide administrative support to the Director, Academic Advisor, and faculty at the Vandenberg Campus.

Specific Duties:

Provide general information to prospective and current students. Function as primary receptionist and answer phones and process mail.
Process applications in Recruiter/Banner in a timely, accurate manner and send new student packages to students.
process admissions follow-up functions
Assist students with Web registration process.
Process late registrations, adds, drops, when Web Registration is
Assist students with making payments via the web.
Create term courses in Banner, acquire textbooks for faculty.
Manage office and classroom supplies and equipment; monitor conditions and needs.

Inactivate student records and archive files as prescribed by policy.

Create course CRNs

Prepare Instructor contracts, Pay Advises, purchase orders and
check requests; manage maintenance contracts.

Schedule and proctor Exams when needed.

Assist the Director/Academic Advisor with other assigned duties
as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

HS Diploma

2 Years office experience demonstrating good people skills, good computer skills, organizational skills, good customer service
and telephone skills. Successful candidate should demonstrate
ability to prioritize, initiate and complete tasks.

Valid CA Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor degree Experience with Windows, MS Office, Banner Education Software,
Recruiter, Web, and E-mail.
