PLATFORM ADMINISTRATOR, COLLABORATION SERVICES, IT Help Center (4828/G1717)
Serve as an administrator for the Microsoft Office365 platform, supporting all aspects of our Office 365 environment. Maintain, troubleshoot and provide advanced level assistance for Office 365 applications from a technical perspective. Provide O365 Tier 3 support to our client community. Lead an Exchange Service Team to problem solve, collaborate on projects and promote the usage of O365. Administer email relay management, email antivirus and malware protection, and routing. Assist the Google Team with administration and issues common to O365 and Google platforms. Administer or assist with any other cloud-based, collaboration focused technologies adopted by Boston University as needed.
B.A./BS or equivalent experience. A minimum three to five years work experience in the computer field is desired, with at least two years as an Office 365 administrator. Requires specialized knowledge of the Exchange Online application in O365 at an enterprise level, including familiarity of working in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment. Strong experience working with Microsoft Premier support to resolve technical Exchange and other O365 issues is a must. Knowledge of Microsoft licensing in an administrator role is required. Additional experience working as a Google administrator at an enterprise level is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills required. May require after-hours or weekend work to facilitate change management in the Office365 environment.
