Coordinator of Workforce Development


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, a minimum of two (2) years of experience developing and implementing training programs with integrated technology, effective interpersonal, organizational and communications skills, and a valid driver’s license required. Master’s degree and experience working in both education and industry preferred. 


This position coordinates the development and delivery of educational programs to meet regional workforce development needs.  Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Collaborates with community constituencies and representatives of business, industry and nonprofit organizations to identify and prioritize educational needs;

Liaison with the tri-county Working Solutions Offices;

Develops and manages lectures, symposia, and course/programs sponsored by CCED;

Recruits qualified individuals to provide quality training;

Gathers data and feedback to analyze the success of courses;

Works closely with Academic Affairs leadership, faculty and staff to facilitate cooperation, participation, and effective communication in the interest of meeting common goals and objectives pertaining to workforce development and community growth;

Analyzes workforce development programs to ensure effectiveness, and continuous improvement, and identifies and responds to emerging opportunities;

Gathers, maintains, and analyzes data; and creates reports;

Coordinates class schedules for healthcare programs by securing instructors, arranging clinical sites, communicating with students regarding medical requirements, arranging certification testing,, and ordering and maintaining textbooks;

Maintains certification with governing authorities for specified programs;

Other duties as assigned by the Director of the Center for Corporate and Community Education.
