Director of Marketing
The GAT Sport Marketing Team is responsible for bringing our brands stories, visions and message to life. At the intersection of strategy, design, print, digital and social content, we develop brand-stories for consumers that matter.
The Director of Marketing - achieves and maintains the highest quality level for all work produced for the GAT Sport brand. He/she will serve as lead for developing, implementing and executing marketing initiatives and activities for the brand. Expected to lead the creative course of projects and is responsible for the workflow of teams as well as their own work. The Director will lead the development of our brands' voices across mediums, produce content in all forms and bring concepts to life through art direction, design, shooting and directing.
The Director of Marketing will embrace and support the GAT Sport culture and have the personal goal of producing the best quality work at all times, fostering an atmosphere of inspiration and creativity. Specific responsibilities for the role include:
•Strategize and establish a brand vision for projects; lead a team to explore, produce and implement these points of view.
•Responsible for managing and developing marketing P&L and driving market growth.
•Develop and brainstorm thematic elements, as well as photography, illustration, video, animation or other media as appropriate for the discipline.
•Demonstrate a growing ability to analyze problems, anticipate consequences and eliminate obstacles to successfully complete projects by deadline.
•Provide strategy and manage multi-discipline creative projects from conception to completion.
•Ensure creative output supports overall strategic/creative goals of project.
•Demonstrate an ability to understand retail customer management requirements, including strategy, client interaction, resource allocation and timing of project deliverables etc.
•Work with development staff and vendors to assure creative vision is executed properly.
•Produce compelling diagrammatic visualizations and appropriate documentation to communicate solutions to the right party at the right time.
•Conduct, design, and/or advise on consumer testing and use findings to inform additional iterations of the user experience.
•Stay abreast of trends and technology, specifically how it can aide in customer deliverables.
•Minimum of 10+ years of Creative Director level experience in Design.
•Minimum of 5+ years managing a Marketing Creative Team.
•Consumer package goods experience a MUST - marketing leadership experience with a team of direct reports.
•Expertise in CRM software
•Have a fluent understanding of the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
•Ability to direct the creation of video graphics.
•Capable of keeping an eye on the big picture, as well as the details, to drive results.
•Excellent print advertising and product label design, color and typographic skills.
•A commitment to high quality work and to positive and productive relationships with all - clients, team members, peers, managers, etc.
•Exhibits strong retail analytical skills, complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making.
•Solid written, verbal and presentation skills; effective communicator
•Motivated and ambitious with a positive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges
•Highly organized; ability to prioritize and juggle projects simultaneously in a fast paced working environment.
•Bachelor's Degree; Master's would be a plus
