Job Description

We are seeking a Project Superintendent with relative experience in the Northeast to join our team!

  • Oversees total day to day construction effort on site to insure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule, but never compromising worker safety. The super, most importantly, must be a leader.
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
  • Assist Project Manager in creation of updating project master schedule. Produce and implement two week look ahead schedules. Establish and implement sequencing of on-site activities and site utilization plans.
  • Quality Control - define and maintain job-site quality standards using ECI QC procedures and mock-ups.
  • Coordinate all required inspections (i.e. municipal, state, specified QC, etc.) including final and certificates of occupancy.
  • Implement Erland's Safety Program -i.e. oversight of daily inspections of complete site, site safety meetings, Tool Box Talks, creation and implementation of site-specific safety programs, documentation of the above.
  • Coordination of subcontractors work. Must have a complete understanding of contract documents and contractual obligations including verification of completed work and extra work.
  • Maintain, organize and update field set of all required design drawings, shop drawings, submittals, and contracts as necessary.
  • Project layout and field dimensions.
  • Coordinate all required inspections (i.e. municipal, state, specified QC, etc.) including final and certificates of occupancy.
  • Coordinate site utility requirements
  • Documenting existing and as- built conditions as pertinent to shop drawing requirements, and close out documents.
  • Resolving on-site labor and subcontractor issues.

  • Must be physically able to maneuver on a jobsite, (ladders, rough terrain), be able to lift and carry heavy objects (drawings and plans, tools, equipment).
  • Capability and knowledge to perform responsibilities described above. Minimum 5 years construction experience, preferably in supervisory capacity.
  • Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, cost control, field engineering, scheduling, safety regulations, and quality control.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend documents.
  • Ability to lead and evaluate performance of subcontractor and field personnel on a day-to-day basis.
  • Possession of state builder's license.
  • Current CPR/First Aid training is required.
