Job Summary:
The mission of the Consortium is to reduce the abuse and misuse of prescription drugs in the State of Colorado through improvements in education, public outreach, research, safe disposal, and treatment. By identifying alignment among many partner organizations, from the public and private sectors, and sharing resources we are able to impact the problem in a meaningful way. As these efforts have evolved, the need for additional staff to support new and existing work has emerged. This full-time, University Staff (non-classified) position will function as the operations manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the Consortium and supervise its staff members.

Examples of Work Performed
*Supervise Consortium staff (Community Outreach Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, Professional Research Assistant, and Research Support Services Assistant, listed above) in their day to day work, including performance evaluation(s);
*Assist Consortium Director with the creation of program work plans from various funding sources; supervise implementation of program work plans; create and submit follow up reports and documentation of program work plans;
*Run weekly Consortium staff meetings;
*Coordinate and supervise major Consortium events (annual meeting, other special events);

*Other duties as assigned (may include up to 20% travel).

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary for this position will commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Minimum Qualifications:

*Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a health-related field such as public health, health administration, pharmacy, nursing, or a closely related field. Candidates must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Office package, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access).

*Two (2) years professional experience planning and implementing health improvement initiatives

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

*Ability to work independently;

*Professional level written and verbal communication skills;

*Knowledge of supervision;
*Highly adept project management skills, while working within the parameters of program work plans and overall Consortium strategic plan;

*Attentive to detail and highly organized;
*Exemplary analytical, reasoning, problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

*A master's degree in the above named health-related fields or a related field, or a Master's of Business Administration (M.B.A.) ;

*Prior training and/or experience in substance abuse prevention;

*Experience at a health care related organization or agency;

*Experience in the local (Denver or Colorado) health care environment;

*Prior supervisory experience.
