This position provides complex administrative support to staff in CALS Academic Affairs and the Farm and Industry Short Course. The position serves as the main point of contact for prospective and current students and their parents, as well as members of campus and the public, receiving and responding to a high volume of walk-in and telephone traffic as well as paper and electronic mail. This position supports the office staff in providing a wide array of student services, including the Dean on Call service, Career Services, International Education, and more. Activities related to this position are highly confidential as they pertain to personal information and academic performance of students.
Position responsibilities require excellent administrative, organizational, interpersonal and computer skills. The person in this position must present a positive attitude in all personal and telephone interactions and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the public utilizing discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Position requires the ability to multitask and to exercise initiative, self-motivation, independent judgment and action. Work is generally performed under pressure to meet demanding deadlines making it imperative to prioritize projects and follow through on completion of tasks.
7:45 AM- 4:30 PM Monday through Friday
