Job Summary: The Skidmore College Counseling Center is looking for a part-time (2 days/week) temporary contract clinician for the duration of the current academic year, beginning in late August and ending in mid-to-late May. Job duties will include a mix of short-term psychotherapy with college students, consultation, possible short-term support group leadership, and participation in the Center's multidisciplinary treatment team.
Candidates should possess a doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a Master's in Social Work; have completed a supervised internship; be licensed or license-eligible within 1 year as a psychologist or LMSW in New York State; have strong diagnostic and clinical skills as well as experience in working with a broad array of psychological, emotional, and developmental concerns; have experience in working with a traditional college-aged population; and a demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse populations including students of color, international students, and LGBTQ+ students. Applicants must provide proof of current professional liability insurance.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications: LMSW in Social Work, or a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology.
Preferred Qualifications: For social workers, an LCSW is preferred.
