About the College/Department

The University Libraries system is comprised of David W. Mullins (main) Library, the Physics Library, the Chemistry and Biochemistry Library, the Fine Arts Library, and the Robert A. and Vivian Young Law Library. Combined holdings number over 2 million volumes. The libraries participate in the Greater Western Library Alliance, the Center for Research Libraries, and other state and national consortia. Library personnel (FTE) include 59 faculty and professional staff, 67 support staff, and 27 student assistants.

Summary of Job Duties

Manage data and follow-up from Serials Solutions and implement changes based on subscription and cancellation information. Maintain information in bibliographic, holdings, resource, and license records in Sierra. Coordinate Quality Control / Access Audits for electronic holdings. Assist the Web Services Librarian and Serials Librarian in collection and compilation of usage data for electronic resources. Assist library staff, public, and vendors with serials-related access issues. Assist with documenting policies and procedures.

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • Two years of experience in library services

  • Relevant library experience, especially experience with serials, cataloging, or records maintenance
  • Relevant library technology experience, especially with Innovative/Millennium/Sierra, Serials Solutions, OCLC or other comparable software experience.
