About the College/Department
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Arkansas sponsors 19 varsity sports programs (eight men's and 11 women's). These 19 programs include more than 460 student-athletes who participate in the various sports programs annually within the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). As the only mascot of its kind in college athletics, the Arkansas Razorbacks, also known as Hogs, compete in the NCAA's Division I (FBS in football) and are a current member of the Southeastern Conference in the Western Division. The mission of the Razorback Athletic Department is to assist in the development of student-athletes to their fullest potential through intercollegiate athletics.

Summary of Job Duties
Under direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services, the Director of Academic Services-Football serves a critical role in the academic development of the University's student-athletes. The Director will work with coaches, staff and professors to foster an atmosphere that retains student-athletes and culminates in graduation from the University while supervising two academic counselors and two graduate assistants. Duties will include advising student-athletes, coordinating graduation plans and monitoring continuing eligibility. A commitment to the rules and regulations of the NCAA, the Southeastern Conference and the University of Arkansas is of critical importance.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- At least three years of experience in athletic academic assistance
