Regional Development Officer, Development and Alumni Engagement - 603281            

Northern Arizona University (NAU) is seeking two Regional Development Officers who will be located in our Phoenix office. As NAU enters the silent phase of a Comprehensive Campaign, their focus will be on major gifts outreach in the greater Phoenix, Tucson, and southern California regions. Successful candidates will manage, prioritize, validate, engage, solicit and steward a portfolio of up to 100 major gift prospects capable of philanthropically supporting NAU at the $25,000 level or greater. An emphasis on the development of solicitation strategies and annual closure of 12 or more major gifts aligned with university-wide fundraising priorities and campaign goals will be required. The Regional Development Officers will be responsible for coordinating with the University’s overall fundraising program, including effective collaboration and partnership with colleagues, peers, and leadership within a diverse number and variety of fundraising programs; staffing University administrators and faculty on development visits with prospects and donors; and recording activities, contacts, solicitation strategies and proposals in Advance, the division’s donor database.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a front-line fundraiser in a comprehensive development program or equivalent experience in a related field, such as sales; established track record of closing major gifts of $25,000 or more, or revenue metrics that support organizational priorities.

Annual Salary: $77,299 to $94,268
