General Description of Position: The Testing and Alternative Print Coordinator provides coordination of services related to the SAC Testing Center.  This includes managing day-to-day scheduling, proctoring and processing of all exams administered for students with disabilities.  This position also manages alternative print production including scanning and conversion of print based material into accessible format.   Information about the Department: Student Access Center appreciates disability as an integral part of the K-State University experience. SAC Testing Center: Coordinate all activities in the SAC Testing Center. Duties include: managing testing accommodations for qualified students with disabilities, database management, scheduling and proctoring of exams, regular communication with students and faculty.

Alternative Print: Coordinate alternative print production. Duties include: contacting publishers, scanning and conversion of print based material into accessible formats, training students in the use of common types of adaptive technology, database management.

Provide support for office outreach by manning booth during June Orientation and other events throughout the year, along with other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • One year work experience in Student Services, Advising, Special Education, Counseling or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Experience with adaptive technology
  • Demonstrated experience using technology and database management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Exceptional skill in attention to detail as demonstrated by previous work experience and/or project management.
