Marist College is reorganizing its Center for Career Services and is enhancing its commitment to provide career and professional development services to Marist students.
The Center for Career Services is seeking additional professional staff to offer students and employers a more comprehensive collection of resources and opportunities. The following positions listed below are available.
Associate Director for the Employer Experience
Manages employer relations, information sessions/workshops, student appointments, employer-in-residence holders, careers treks, and site visits. Responsible for interfacing with students, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders to facilitate their involvement with employer relations programs and services. S/he will work to enhance the quality of full-time employment and internship opportunities for students. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience required. Supervisory experience required, strong verbal and written communications skills and strong organizational skills.
Associate Director for Career Coaching
Responsible for designing, organizing, leading and evaluating innovative programming for student engagement. S/he will remain current on job market and networking trends and prepare students and alumni for career opportunities through the review of resumes and cover letters, mock interview and networking opportunities. Master’s degree and a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience. Supervisory experience required, strong interpersonal and presentation skills; familiarity with assessment tools.
Assistant Director for Career Coaching
Responsible for providing career coaching support to students and alumni through career coaching appointments, small group sessions and workshops. Engages key constituents, including faculty, staff, and alumni for participation and contribution to the overall strategy for and continued growth of Career Services. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience required along with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Coordinator for Outreach, Marketing and Communication
Responsible for the development and implementation of a marketing strategy for the Career Center. S/he will collaborate with the team and other internal and external Marist constituents to design and monitor a brand, image, and identity for the Career Center. Will hire and train social media students to promote the brand and emphasize the importance of career development to all students, alumni, and the broader Marist community. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience required. Strong verbal and written communication skills required as well as solid technical skills including multiple social media platforms.
