Description:
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for recruiting and engaging talented individuals who will propel Emerson's mission and vision to become the world's leading institution of higher education in the art's and communication, infused with liberal arts. Toward this end, Emerson's Recruiter partners closely with hiring managers across the college to identify staffing and performance needs, explore creative and innovative ways to meet the needs of the position and succeed at delivering an outstanding experience for every candidate who visits Emerson.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
1) Using innovative and creative tools and resources to identify top talent
2) Building strong and meaningful relationships with Boston communities as a source for local talent
3) Conducting inclusive job searches that ensure we have team of high performing, diverse, resilient and innovative talent
4) Creating and implementing a comprehensive, engaging employee experience program to support the first year of employment

Campus Location: Boston Campus

Required Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Human Resources management or related area. Knowledge of laws and regulations related to HR function, such as EEO/AA, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and employment laws and regulations.

Required Prior Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of Talent Acquisition experience.

Job Duties:
  • Build and Deliver the Emerson Experience to the community, potential candidates and new hires. Proactively reach out to a diverse candidate pool and facilitate the full recruitment cycle for all exempt and nonexempt staff, including temporary employees. Coordinate efforts to enhance the diversity of staff, in cooperation with the Office of Diversity & Inclusion and other Campus partners Partner with hiring managers to review job specifications, identified required skills and ideal experience(s). Participate Partner with, and support, hiring managers through the sourcing, selection and offer process Creatively source and interview candidates, validate applicant credentials, including reference checks, extend offers and analyze trend data. Build strong and meaningful relationships with Boston communities and other institutions of higher education Represent Emerson at career fairs in the greater Boston and build our brand and reputation as an employer of choice
  • Implement, manage and continually improve the new hire on-boarding plan and process for Emerson Experience participants. Work closely with hiring managers to create a departmental on-boarding plan for new hires and ensure that the process is closely followed by checking in with new hire and manager.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration and oversight of the College’s Applicant Tracking System - People Admin. Provide technical troubleshooting to staff; maintain data integrity, continually evaluating system functionality to ensure it is meeting business needs and works with service provider to makes appropriate system enhancements and modifications. Develop and maintain talent acquisition metrics and dashboard to report on Emerson trends and targets
  • Participate in campus wide committees or projects that will enhance employee engagement and retention.
