Assistant Director of International Recruitment and Admissions
Metropolitan College of New York, a non-profit, regionally accredited college offering associate, bachelors and masters degrees, and located in the Financial District of Manhattan and the Bronx, seeks an experienced admissions professional to work with the Director of Admissions and Vice President of Enrollment Services to oversee international recruitment. The Assistant Director will coordinate international marketing and recruitment strategies, including oversight of the communication plan to address international inquiries; advise prospective undergraduate and graduate international students with admissions processes and visa concerns; serve as the primary designated school official (PDSO) responsible for issuing I-20 to new students and monitoring the record of all international continuing students; assist with overseeing the coordination of recruitment activities in the NYC metro area and abroad to support international enrollment; build relationships with external recruitment partners; collaborate with the Director to maintain the college is current with USCIS laws and ensure the college meets all regulations stipulated by ICE, USCIS, and SEVIS; represent the Director of Admissions at functions on and off campus; provide reports on International enrollment on a regular basis, and other required reports that support enrollment goals and initiatives; and manage the international recruitment budget.
Minimum requirements include a masters degree with 3-5 years admissions experience; international recruitment experience desired; knowledge of DHS/ICE/SEVIS regulations and guidelines; experienced DSO preferred; valid passport required. Will be required to travel locally and internationally, and work some evening and weekend hours.
