Job Description

The Department of Sociology at Bentley University invites candidates for a full-time Lecturer position beginning July 2018. We seek applicants who have specializations in one of the following areas: gender/sexuality, justice studies, or media and technology. Consideration will be given to candidates who have scholarly/teaching interests in qualitative inquiry, especially pertaining to ethnography, participant observation, interviewing, or ethnomethodology. Applicants who do applied and/or clinical sociology will also be given strong consideration.

The department has strong enrollments in its courses and close to 50 students taking a minor in sociology. Required Qualifications

Qualified candidates are required to hold a Ph.D. in Sociology, or a related field AND/OR must have Ph.D. in Sociology or related field completed by September 1, 2018. Must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching.
