Duties: Knowledge of methods used in the maintenance and repair of commercial/industrial HVAC and Hydronic systems. Must have experience working in a multi-trades environment; AND must be willing to conduct work outside of his/her primary trade, as operational needs dictate. Knowledge of building HVAC SCADA/Control systems, to include a minimum of one of the following: Automated Logix, American Automatrix, Johnson Controls, LonWorks, Siemens. Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair HVAC electric, electronic, & mechanical devices. Ability to interpret and work from single line electrical/mechanical schematics, drawings, sketches and O&M manuals. Knowledge and practices with rules and regulations required by NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E & understand all the PPE required to perform work assignments. Knowledge and understanding of Sequence of operation for AHU's, VAV's, & hydronic systems. Ability to be trained to being able to proficiently use a laptop computer to troubleshoot digital HVAC control systems. Knowledge and understanding of how steam is utilized in building steam systems. Ability to troubleshoot, repair/replace Pneumatic HVAC control system devices.
Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 5 -7 years of experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems. In addition, must have successfully completed one of the following: an approved accredited HVAC apprenticeship (4-5 years), completed a 2 year HVAC Technical/Vocational program, or HVAC trade-specific military school(s) or equivalent corporate training program.
Experience on operating, maintaining & repairing all types of HVAC systems. Must be able to troubleshoot building automation systems through use of a laptop computer. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs and must be able to accept 1st and 2nd shift work if required. It is preferred the candidate have valid driver's license, free of any suspension/revocation from the individual state of permanent residence.
